Rosa was first introduced into the dance world at the age of 4. Ballet,
modern/contemporary dance, Peruvian folklore, Latin dance, jazz and hip-hop are
included in her strong dance background repertoire. She also enjoys practicing yoga, pilates, Zumba, running, as well as painting, drawing, and writing both prose and verse.
At the age of 16, she started to learn oriental dancing with the prestigious belly dancer Luna (Peru). Luna, who became her mentor and friend, invited Rosa to be part of her nationally recognized dance company "Raksanur". As a Raksanur, Rosa performed in countless venues and shows for over two years.
Rosa is constantly working to develop her skills and
technique by receiving training and/or taking workshops from the most
distinguished international teachers such as: Tito Seif, Amir Thaleb, Soraya, Raquia Hassan, Dina,
Yousry Sharif, Sadie, Nour, Jillina, Saida, Yamil Annum, Pablo Acosta, Ansuya, Mohamed
Shanin, Nesma, Alla Kushnir, Marta Korzun, Horacio Fuentes, Beata
Fuentes, Amar Gamal, Amir El Said, Karim Nagi, Osvaldo Brandan, Tarik,
among others.
She
has shared the stage with internationally recognized belly dance artists such as Sadie and Angelika Nemeth (Belly Dancer of the Universe, USA) and Jillina, Alla Kushnir and Kahina (FiesPeru, Peru). She had also performed at
the Raks Madrid Opening Gala (Spain) and the Ahlan Wa Sahlan Festival
(Egypt) in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
Rosa made her debut, first solo performance, just to win First Place in Rising Star Ultimate Belly Dancer 2012. She was First Runner Up Rising Star in the Miami Belly Dance Convention 2013. Her latest achievement includes being one of the winners in Oriental and Fusion categories in the World Belly Dance Festival 2014 in Singapore, Asia. She continues training daily and working intensively to build up her belly dance career.
